Kalgoorlie

Australie
La polarisation provoquée donne de bons résultats en localisant un dépôt de nickel sous un mort-terrain conducteur. Image2D™ a permis de déterminer les marges du dépôt.

Kalgoorlie is a nickel deposit associated with an ultramafic unit, located in the Yilgarn Craton of western Australia. A deeply weathered and very saline leach zone covers bedrock, making it one of the most conductive zones in the world.

The apparent resistivity and IP pseudosections show a conductive and polarizable source.

The Image2D™ inversion shows a 30 m thick conductive surface layer and the mineralized zone beneath.
