Kalgoorlie

Australia

IP yields good results and locates a nickel deposit beneath conductive overburden Image2D™ is able to delineate the deposit.

Kalgoorlie is a nickel deposit associated with an ultramafic unit, located in the Yilgarn Craton of western Australia. A deeply weathered and very saline leach zone covers bedrock, making it one of the most conductive zones in the world.

The apparent resistivity and IP pseudosections show a conductive and polarizable source.

The Image2D™ inversion shows a 30 m thick conductive surface layer and the mineralized zone beneath.
