Radio Imaging Tomography

The FARA System uses radio imaging technology to study, in detail, the space between the boreholes. Using this technique, it is possible to produce a visual representation of the space passing through the holes in terms of resistivity values. The FARA System uses electromagnetic waves transmitted from one borehole to another. The nature of the different mediums encountered and their ability to absorb electromagnetic waves will modify the intensity of the received signal. VMS type conductors are an excellent medium for absorbing energy. This technique reduces the cost of drilling by presenting the most prospective location for exploration.

Finding new conductor between drillings:

  • FARA System is able to analyze in detail the space between drillings by presenting the results in the form of tomography.

Conductors features:

  • Multiple characteristics such as thickness, boundaries, inclination from a single interception.

Locating conductive intersections:

  • With the interception of mineralization in a single borehole, the FARA System can characterize the extent of the conductor using nearby drilling.
