Telomita is located in the central highlands of Madagascar. Chromite deposits in this region are related to strongly deformed basic intrusions. At Telomita the deposits are hidden beneath lateritic cover. |

The magnetic highs, outlined in white, are related to pyroxinites and soapstones. Chromite is weakly magnetic and is marked by magnetic lows, (outlined in blue) within the areas of pyroxenites and soapstones. |
